Privacy. It wasn’t something David had seen a lot of during his time in Schitt’s Creek. So when Patrick finally moved out of Ray's place and into his own apartment, David knew he was going to take advantage of the luxury of privacy whenever he could. Patrick made it clear in the days before he moved in that he didn’t expect David to leave whenever he did. He wasn’t going to kick him out at 6am just because he was going on a hike. The prospect of having an entire apartment to himself, one where the only person who has a key is his boyfriend, who wouldn’t be bothered if he walked in on David in any state of undress, or with his hand around his cock, was an enticing one.

My truth is that I’m damaged goods and this has really messed things up for me.
Patrick can’t stop hearing the pain in David’s voice and seeing the hurt on his face when he’d said those words to him. He hates that he was the cause of that pain, when he’d sworn to himself that he wouldn’t become one of David’s sad stories, one of his reasons for keeping his walls so high.
