Conner Kent knows exactly what he’s supposed to be.
Smile for the cameras. Stop the bad guys. Wear the symbol. Make LexCorp proud.
It’s easy enough—until a new reporter from the Daily Planet shows up looking at him like he’s a person instead of a product.
Tim Drake asks too many questions. Notices too many things. Keeps showing up in Conner’s head at inconvenient times. And maybe following him around Metropolis a little is normal, actually.
Conner just wants to understand him.
Why Tim stays calm around someone who could crush buildings barehanded. Why he keeps chasing stories that should scare him away. Why his heartbeat changes whenever he looks at Conner for too long.
Lex says reporters are dangerous. Conner thinks Tim might be worth the risk.
Unfortunately, Conner’s version of “getting to know someone” is deeply concerning to everyone except himself.
