Honestly I just wanted to write poetry to fill in in-universe gaps for what ritual and worship look like in the incredibly religious Lands Between. I might use elements of this in another fic, but I am very proud of the work in its entirety.
A prayer from the journals of an adherent to St. Trina, found in a crumbling ruin on the side of the road. Stained with blood.

In their complete shock, Adrian thinks they can be excused for missing another presence on that ship before they were almost pounding on the ship's door. But when they did notice, they froze in their tracks.
Bipedal. Almost completely organic. Two front-facing, predator-like light detectors. Descriptions flashed through their head, descriptions that are only known through dead bodies because no Galactic Collective agent would dare go near them alive.
It's a human.
Rocky is trapped in a ship with a human.

What the title says. About 11 years ago (from my perspective; relativity is weird) I was launched into space onboard the Hail Mary to figure out a solution to the Astrophage problem. Now I live on an alien planet I call Erid, in the 40-Eridani system. Yes, I’m actually Ryland Grace. Ask me anything.
Also, can someone please tell me if Eva Stratt is alive? And ideally send me a video of you punching her in the face? Guess that’s a long shot, but it can’t hurt to ask.
