Summary
Hazuki is an assassin.
During a mission, a single mistake forces her to abandon the kill and disappear before her target can strike back. Wounded and on the run, she flees to Sendai, hiding in a forgotten alleyway while waiting for the heat to die down. That is where her fate begins to change.
A high school girl approaches her in the middle of the night and makes a bizarre proposition:“Become my dog.”
Any sensible person would refuse. Any sensible person would walk away. But Hazuki has never been particularly sensible. What begins as a strange arrangement between two broken strangers slowly unravels into something neither of them expected. After all, why would a girl invite a complete stranger into her home and ask her to be a dog?
And why couldn’t Hazuki bring herself to say no?

I might have occasionally left marks on her so that, if people were to look closer than I’d feel comfortable with, I could at least ward them off, and I might have wished, sometimes, that they knew it was me and no one else doing that to her – but biting her all over her body, while soothing in the moment, never did make me feel any better in the long run, and would only leave bruises on Sendai-san that mocked me with their uselessness for days.
The necklace, like her earrings, were always meant to mark her as mine in a way that wouldn't gradually just fade over, even if we were the only ones who knew what they meant.
But that doesn’t seem to be enough for Sendai-san anymore, and I’d be lying if I said, in full seriousness, that it was ever enough for me.
