For his whole life, Wylan has been told he is not enough. At the beginning of their adventure, Wylan has seen himself as less than his friends. Less cut throat, less talented, less competent. But his perspective is clouded and the Crows are able to see what he cannot.
Or: Five times his friends recognized the traits Wylan admired in them most and one time he finally recognized those traits in himself.

Inej stared at her younger self in the mirror, unsure of what else to do. Was she still dreaming? Was she hallucinating? It all felt so real.
She set the mirror down on the table and picked the carved icon back up. Sankta Marya of the Rock. Patron saint of those far from home.
Had Sankta Marya and the other Saints sent her back in time? Was that within their abilities? Why would they send her back?
Or: The Crows wake up in various points their past with all of their memories.
