Summary
Anybody who knows Hannibal Lecter knows that he is very meticulous about the state of his kitchen. After all, he spends most of his free time experimenting with culinary masterpieces from history or of his own design for both himself and the various dinner guests he has. Everything is always pristine, not a crumb or speck of grease (or blood) to be seen on his countertops. Everything is always kept in running order for convenience and efficiency.
So, when an entire row of lights above his workspace suddenly goes out, the fridge stops humming, and the clock on the oven goes black, for several, very unsettling seconds while his eyes adjust to the abrupt disappearance of light, Hannibal does not know what to do.

Summary
Somehow, I don't find the USB drive until I'm moving the last of my possessions into the small shuttle the Eridians cobbled together to take Rocky and me from the Hail Mary to Erid's space elevator. Actually, considering it was in a tiny Ziploc bag within a sea of bags and crates, it's perhaps more surprising that it wasn't destroyed during the trip from Tau Ceti.
The USB itself isn't labeled, but a note in familiar handwriting is scrawled on the bag: For Grace - don't open until it's time.
