Jaeyun’s laugh rang out, pulling him fully back into the present. He parried a swing and leaned close, whispering with mock-seriousness, “Don’t tell me you are getting distracted in the middle of a fight, my general.”
Heeseung chuckled, his voice warm. “Maybe I just like watching you dance.” His fire swirled in a circle, not to strike, but to frame Jaeyun’s spinning figure, water and ice glimmering against the flames, like the world itself had painted them as opposites meant to move together.Heeseung, who once believed he was just a med student, just an ordinary human who happened to fall for someone like Jaeyun, would one day realize he was willing to kill for him. "After years of rolling in the battlefield where flesh and blood exploded, I thought all my inspirations and desires had died, leaving only hatred and viciousness behind. Yet, at this moment, there is only you in my mind. People say that they're drawn to you because of your role as a healer, but the thing is.....your very existence itself shakes up my feelings. This is quite a serious problem." Sunghoon sighed as he sat down besides Jake on a chair with his head stooped down.
