    When Link forged the Picori Blade into the Four Sword, he harnessed the power of the Elements to imbue the sword with enough strength to defeat Vaati.

    When Link drew the sword again and was split into four, he discovered that the Elements hadn't just powered the forging, but were still very much present within the blade (and the boy who was forever changed by it).
