She saw it before she ever felt a thing, her body floating weightlessly for what felt like an eternity. The glinting of steel, chipped, battered, familiar. The same white cloth, stained with mud, torn and tattered, and the same pale, scarred and bruised hand that still clung to that old, worn down handle.

Lumine is gravely injured in a battle against an abyss herald, losing her right arm in the process.
Left broken and weak, She struggles to adapt to her new body and its limitations despite Paimon's aid. She will need to rebuild her strength in spite of everything she has been through, and She will need to relearn everything she thought she knew about herself, one step at at time.
Lumine is no longer capable of wielding a sword, and she will have to learn how to rely on other people, to ask for help,even if she cannot bring herself say the words aloud.
(I wasn't super fond of the Summary, so I rewrote it again for chapter 9)

Summary
The truth of the matter is, Aether wasn't lying when he said he was immune to abyssal taint. He could positively purify and remove taint from any object or person completely.
But what he didn't want to mention was that it was less ‘purifying’ and more akin to ‘consuming’.Natlan's 'Aether protection squad' catches on and is not about to let this go.
