    "I'm telling what I can," the doctor paused for a moment. "Your brother might be a grown man in the eyes of the law, Captain Chotisuntrakul, but I have a son of the same age and I know how young an age 21 still is." There was another pause, and Jade blinked, a feeling of dread in his stomach. "Jay will be ready for you to pick him up at five this afternoon, after all his final tests."
    Jade pressed his lips together. "Thank you Doctor, I'll be there."

    Jay is out of the hospital, Jade realizes - finally - just how much of a toll this whole situation is taking on him.
