Summary
When people thought of Poseidon they thought of the sea; Poseidon, Lord of the Seas, Commander of the Waves, the Stormbringer. Upon consideration they would add Earthshaker, for catastrophic events such as earthquakes were hard to forget. Few remembered, however, that Poseidon was also Lord of the Horses. Stormbringer and Earthshaker tended to squeeze that one out.
Percy had been able to talk to horses for as long as he could remember. He liked to think he understood them. Although he's not entirely sure why the new stallion thinks he's its foal.
Poseidon is not jealous that Percy thinks a horse makes a better father figure than himself. At all.

In "The Quiet," the Resistance burned a host-farm and pulled eleven children out of the smoke, then read on a seized Yeerk drive the assessment of the one they'd missed by a rotation — the model case, the one the wamp built exactly right. This asks the other question: what if she had been one of the eleven?
They got there in time. That's the first thing. The rest of it is what comes after — eighty-some days of a girl who doesn't sleep, doesn't speak, and holds a line against a Day that will never come, while a woman named K sits across the fire and waits, and does not ask her anything, and does not touch her without permission, and does not give her a name she hasn't chosen.
The wamp is not a place you can burn all the way down. Some of it goes home in the body. This is the story of what's left to build with, once the fire's out.Series

A rewrite set after the sorcerer, where the characters are people and the stakes are high, and Byler is happening.
Warning: will have character death, violence and horror.
This is what I wish would happen.
Such as Hopper not being a dick to Kali, and the rest of the parents learn what is happening. Joyce cares about he oldest son. The painting lies exposed; the hospital attack is more realistic. The first shadow is mentioned. Characters in danger, and we have some character deaths. Also, some Vecna is a real threat.
P.S. The first few chapters are kind of in episode format, but I stopped and chose to write it how I want, and not limit it to a theoretical TV episode time slot.

He wants to get angry at Hopper again. There is so much blame and Mike can feel himself brimming over with it. If only there was someone to place it on, someone who truly deserved it, then at least he could finally be rid of it. But when Mike really thinks about whose shoulders the blame should rest upon, the only name that springs to mind is his own.
(After all, Will called him the heart, when he gave Mike the painting that El commissioned, the one with Mike standing front and centre, a fearless Paladin who’s more than ready to die for his friends. Paladins are known for their strength and unwavering loyalty. If there’s blame on offer, then Mike can take it. He has to be able to take this; it’s only what he deserves.)

Steve was crouched down to Lucas’ left on one knee — like they were in a dejected team huddle in a game they had no chance of winning.
Still here. No demonic claws choking the life out of her, no black widows creeping up her shoelaces.
Steve finally spoke up — wiping a still-shaking hand across his mouth — “Shit, kid, are you hurt at all?”

Mike does not reply. Jonathan glances over his shoulder, mid-step, and pulls up short in confusion at what he sees. Mike is still by the van where the darkness is deepest, his white t-shirt dappled with darker shadows, standing stock-still. Unnervingly still. Stiller than Jonathan has ever seen him. No bouncing leg, no tapping finger, no nothing; he’s just standing there, staring down at his blood-covered hands in a faraway sort of fascination.
His wet blood-covered hands.
