    They… had been spying on him. Jake felt rubbed raw, in that itchy way like when you didn't scrub seawater from your skin and it dried on you, opening sores all over your skin

    He wanted to pull his hair out. He wanted to scream. What was he thinking? It was for the heist, all of it was. He could understand  that, couldn't he? Jake had lied in the name of the heist before, and this is all it was. Amy hadn't done anything wrong. Amy would never do anything wrong. Amy would never hurt him.

    Jake was just... hurt.
