  Summary

  Being seen as a girl again would just take her some time to get used to. At least, that's what Naoto kept telling herself, anyway. After the long while she'd spent presenting as a boy and being referred to as such, it was only natural that being called a girl would feel strange. The feeling would go away soon, and she could finally accept her birth sex for what it was. She could finally feel normal.

  Or at least, that's what she thought. After a series of interactions, some personal introspection, and an unfortunate realization, Naoto is forced to reckon with the fact that "she" may never truly feel "normal", whatever that really means, again.

  Summary

  The problem with being a long-living species in love with a short-living species is that you really don’t have that much time with your partner… not to mention, time goes by much quicker for you than them.

  So, when Isaac Sumdac dies, leaving behind his near-immortal boyfriend (and their daughter), how are they supposed to cope?

  How is Bulkhead supposed to cope with the loss of a relationship that, in the grand scheme of things, was such a short part of his life… but still meant everything to him?

  Of course, healing and moving on is always possible, but it takes a while to figure out how to achieve.
