While he stretches in his chair, Dan Heng glanced at the clock sitting on his desk. 2:48 AM. If he continues playing any longer, it’s guaranteed that he’d be late and he definitely would need Himeko’s coffee to get through tomorrow’s shift. He knows better than to get up feeling shitty due to lack of sleep then consume caffeine, then endure a crippling headache, then die.
He really can’t. He should stop—
“Sure.”

"Is something funny, Mr. Blade?" Jing Yuan asks, though no malice or accusation behind it. No bite. "Do tell. I would also like to hear your side of the story."
"Well." Blade flicks up his demonic-looking, red eyes with a tint of yellow, right at Jing Yuan. The therapist has shivers run up his spine, yet he doesn't show much else of a disturbance. Quite professional. "I am, what you would call, a zombie. Of sorts. The undead. Kind of immortal. I can take a few hits. A few shocks from the storm clouds themselves, if you will. And my... associate over here," Blade gestures with open hands, Dan Heng rolls his eyes, "yeah, he's a dragon. They call them the Vidyadhara, not sure if you know a thing or two about them. Storm magic. Short tempers and rage. Occasional flooding of the city. It's kind of their thing." Blade laughs quietly to himself. No one else laughs. "I can take more than just a few hits, to say the least," he comments.

With the seriousness outweighing the option to feel tense in Ren's presence, Dan Heng levels his words. “You think the person behind the photos of us was the same person following me, right?”
He scoffs. “Yeah? I’m not stupid.”
“I didn’t insinuate that.” A blood vessel threatens to pop. “And you didn’t tell anyone otherwise of our supposed dating status?”
“Should I have?” Ren asks with disinterest.
Dan Heng shakes his head. “No, we go along with it.”
Now that gets Ren’s attention.
“You want us to fake date.” He deadpans.
Tapping his finger against his thigh, Dan Heng nods in agreement. “I want us to fake date.”
What do you do when under the threat of a stalker? Fake date, of course! Now if only the other person didn't need to be Ren...

And now this titan of a man holds Dan Heng’s touch on his body. The dragon, almost complete, is already magnificent. It unravels across his right side and surges. With any movement the dragon makes itself known, whether it’s by tail or jaws. It is perfect on him, it is made for him, and now Dan Heng has a piece of himself forever on him.
That thought alone stokes something deep inside his chest - something he’s never felt, and can’t identify. Something burning, something heavy, something primal. Ren may have ruined him, but at least in turn, he’s left some kind of mark on him, forever.
