Summary
After all, it’s not like Jonny would ask Patrick to move to Chicago, would claim Patrick as his sub and declare his undying love for him. He knows that Jonny probably has this arrangement with half a dozen other subs around the continent. Hell, Patrick assumes he most likely has more than one sub in Chicago or Winnipeg that he scenes with regularly. If one of his kinks is obviously taking care of subs materially, and he’s got millions of dollars to spare, there’s no way that Patrick’s the only one.
And it doesn’t matter, because Patrick doesn’t love Jonny either, has known what this is from the start.

That day at the Rio de Janeiro Olympics, Alex comes across the very same Prince Henry who just dismissed him having a panic attack in a bathroom. The choice Alex makes then has ripple effects neither of them could have ever expected. What's the story like, when they actually are friends all along?
“So, you’re going back to England tonight, and you’ll spend the next three days pretending you two are the closest and best of friends until we can put this mess behind us.”
And there are reasons he hasn’t told anybody this, good reasons, even though he’s sure June and Nora saw through him ages ago. Faced with his mom’s disappointment, though, and with the realization that the entire world apparently thinks he hates Henry and would willingly shove him into a fucking cake, he can’t stay quiet.
“But we are friends,” he says, vehement and serious. “We have been for years. He’s—he’s probably my best friend, actually, along with Nora.”

“Er…” he says – a faintly bewildered expression on his face. “Yes, I imagine so.”
Turns out the guy is also British, which is like, whatever. Alex gives him one of his best smiles. “Great, thanks.”
Hot Barista glances vaguely around himself, then back to Alex. He looks simultaneously surprised and uncertain, like some kind of aggressively handsome time-traveller who’s been unexpectedly yeeted into a different century. After a beat, he says – “From me?”
“Uh yeah. You’re working here, right?”
“Well... yes?”
Alex tries very hard not to sigh.
Great. Looks like he’s dealing with one of those people who are so attractive, they’ve never had the need to develop any kind of personality beyond that of a Tupperware container of room-temperature potato salad.

Five times Henry serves Alex coffee and one time Alex serves Henry.
