Summary
Jake struggles with being accepted by others. He doesn't really have friends, even if he wanted them. But confidence pays off as he dares to speak up more often.
Heeseung struggles with himself. He is entirely different from who he thought he was, thanks to Jake. Emotions constantly wash over him at the worst moment, and there is only one way to escape them, temporarily or permanently.

Summary
He’s right there. Tall, tanned, handsome. He’s filled out more since Jake last saw him, biceps thick against his black tee. A silver chain glints around his neck, where damp strands of black hair curl at the nape.
“Jake.”
“Heeseung.” Jake whispers. The air seems too quiet, he can’t even hear the ocean. Just his own heartbeat thundering in his ears. The heat isn’t bothering him, but he can feel his cheeks warming up, hot with…what? Anger, nerves, something else?
Heeseung doesn’t seem to know what to say, either. He just pulls his bags out of the trunk and shuts it with a little more force than necessary. “Good to see you.”
Twelve years ago, Jake and Heeseung made a promise. Two years ago, Heeseung broke it. Now, Jake is facing it.

Summary
He isn't sure how long it's been since he fell asleep, or when he even fell asleep.
He's brought back to the main issue—his door opening—when he sees a tall figure moving in his peripheral. He twists his head as much as his strength lets him, and squints his eyes until his double vision turns into a single, clearer one.
Then it dawns on him that the figure is actually Heeseung, a bottle of water and some medicine clutched tightly in one hand. Great, just the person he was looking for, why'd he come back?
The first thing Heeseung notices is the current state Jake is in. He's sick, obviously, but the details he notices aren't the appropriate ones.
Nonetheless, Jake still looks sick, so all he manages to blurt out is: "Damn"
Or: Jake catches a fever in the most inconvenient of times, and it’s up to Heeseung (it’s not) to make sure he gets well before their next schedule.

Summary
“I’ll see you tonight, yeah? Don’t let me down, Heeseung.”
“Yeah,” Heeseung mumbles, and then his cheeks turn a brilliant red. “I mean, I won’t. Let you down. I’ll be there. I mean, shit."
Jake snorts, but he hides it behind his hand and lets it morph into a dainty giggle that he knows drives the boys wild. Heeseung is no different. Heeseung is a beef head jock who suddenly has people wanting to hang off of his dick, but Jake is a pro at playing guys and girls alike. Heeseung doesn’t stand a chance.
In which Heeseung comes back from summer break totally hot and campus heartthrob Jake wants a taste, uncaring of the consequences.
