Summary
Kakuzu and Hidan are sent on an Akatsuki mission that's outside of their usual repertoire.
“Don’t be so boring,” Hidan whined in the tone that always made Kakuzu either try to kill him or to quickly give him what he wanted, just to shut him up. “This will be our very first secret seduce-and-kill mission. I want to nail it.”
“Your first seduce-and-kill mission, maybe.”
“What?” Hidan’s attention snapped back to his face from wherever else it was busy a moment ago. From the glazed over look in his eyes and his flushed skin, from a mental image quite indecent.
“What?” Kakuzu sipped his sake, finding the whole conversation amusing despite himself.

Summary
There was something undeniably humiliating — and absurd — about taking Hidan to a spicy restaurant for the sole purpose of provoking physiological reactions. About sitting across from him, feigning indifference, while waiting for the moment the heat of the peppers would inflame his skin and bring tears to his eyes.
It was decadent. He, of all people, behaving like that.
What a strange punishment for his moral crimes.
Or: Kakuzu wants to make Hidan cry.

Summary
Kakuzu’s eyes fly open. It’s dark in the room. The curtains block the moonlight and any lanterns outside. The sound of the party goers and the music is faint. He blinks, his brain catching up to what exactly he just dreamt.
He dreamt about breasts again. But this time, there was a hand. A newborn’s hand in the dream.
Kakuzu’s mind is reeling from the implications. He reviews every dream he had in the last weeks, the pieces falling together, and the astounding answer resonates in his brain.
The hand was his soulmate’s.
