Dear Journal,
Mrs Mac isn’t coming. She just sent a reminder that she’s off for the week at her brother’s place in Kentucky. She told me about him, last time she was here. I can’t believe I forgot.
But I guess my parents forgot too, since I’m still locked in my room. I have to start school on Monday! I guess I could always climb down the tree... I don’t have a key, so I can’t unlock it from the outside. Also, I don’t want to wait until Monday, I’m starving in here and I’ve drunk way more water than I usually have.
Also, I think my cold is getting worse-

Tim started keeping a journal sometime after he turned nine. He kept the journal throughout the most tumultuous year of his live, the year he turned ten.or: Tim's parents forget him at home. He takes matters into his own hands.

Summary
Jason takes his journal with him when he leaves and then it’s Tim who’s shaking. His book had been a constant in his life and now it was gone. He feared what Jason could do with it, with the vulnerabilities that were shared on those yellowing pages.
Two weeks later, Tim unlocks his apartment to find Jason sitting on his couch again, the book in his hand.
Slowly, he opens it to find the last 71 pages laminated. He can’t fill them. Worse, they are already filled.
He reads the first paragraph, full of praise and love and so much care and his sight begins to blur. Tears well up as he stares at his once-glorified suicide note.
The last page, he notes, is empty. He cannot fill it. It’s also laminated. He cannot kill himself now. He can’t.
The book falls to the floor. Jason opens his arms. Tim practically stumbles into them and sobs into Jason’s shirt. It feels like catharsis. It feels right. He feels loved.
or:
Tim uses a book to write out all the mistakes he's ever committed, all his failures. He has a plan for when the book is finished. Jason stops him from doing something he would regret.

“Well, if it’s that importan’ puddin’, it was way back, when the angry one was still Robin. We’d just gotten out and a boy literally tripped over ‘r way. And Joker, he really wannted ta keep him, so we did. ‘was a real slip of a boy too. I think his name mighta been Timmy once, but Joker really wanted a son, so we just- ya know. In any case, he escaped, was a real smart one too— used a plastic fork and some tape. I never looked for him, figured he’da had enough of me, but if ya do find him, tell him ‘m sorry.“
Tim froze. Go figure she’d remember his stupid name years down the line. His hands were shaking. Damian had turned to look at Tim, eyes as big as saucer pans.
Yeah, there was no way he could convince them that wasn’t him.
Absently, he rubbed at the make-up concealing his scars. They’d paled further with age, but Tim could tell they were there anyway.
“RR, stay exactly where you are. Robin, use force if needed.“
or: an unfortunate run-in with the Joker leads to Damian asking questions. Questions Tim really wishes he wouldn't ask.

In the weeks to come, Tim found himself spending more and more time with Selina who never even asked if he wanted to go home. His parents had called, once, just to make sure the new help was doing her job but truthfully, Tim hadn’t even noticed that they had a new help.
Every second that he wasn’t with Selina or in school, he spent researching, making quiet inquiries and bribing officials. All from the comfort of his home. He knew that he was much to weak to actually fight the Joker but he had other options. Arkham was possibly the least secure secure-prison that ever existed and most of the people were trained to look the other way when it came to the people visiting or leaving.
Obtaining thallium wasn’t really a challenge either, he just bought some via Drake Industries, which produced some optical lenses in which it was needed anyway. No one bat an eye and he got the poison within two days.

Following Robins death, Tim decides to kill the Joker, becomes friends with Catwoman and later starts a relationship with Red Hood. Somehow, all of these things are connected.Series
