“The Riley family house…” Gaz said quietly, shuffling in his spot in the backseat. “It can’t be much different from our usual cases, can it?”
“Well, everyone so far has left running from that place. Even the shadows couldn’t handle it.”
“Graves?” Soap said, leaning as far forward as the seatbelt allowed him to, much more interested.
“Let’s just say his American spirit left him temporarily.”
“He died?” Soap’s mouth fell to the floor as a raw chill shook his body.
“… For a short period.”
Soap tried to swallow, his throat dry. Graves and his team were just as good as them with the paranormal, both of them specialised teams that worked with ghosts and all that came with them on the regular.
Death was normal in their line of work, it was a risk that came red underlined with the position. Sometimes spirits got rough and most of the time they wouldn’t hesitate to throw you around like a rag doll, possess you, terrify you, all to gain back some part of themselves. What was murder to the dead anyway?

Toji took a moment to properly size up the guy now that he wasn’t busy instinctively throwing punches. The actor was tall—just about Toji’s height—with a build that looked solid beneath the apron, a ruggedness that suggested he could handle himself in a fight. His face was splattered with a mix of fake and, now, real blood, the crimson framing his sharp features and accentuating the wicked gleam in his red eyes.
Whoever this guy was, he looked every part of some fucked up cannibal dredged up from a slasher film.
Toji’s plan: check the haunted house attraction, make sure it’s kid-friendly, don't get sued, and get out. Sukuna’s plan: flirt with the guy who punched him in the face.

It had landed Obi-Wan in trouble more often than Obi-Wan could count, but Obi-Wan had never died, so Qui-Gon had always seemed to consider that a satisfactory result, no matter what else might have happened.

Obi-Wan frowned, because that sounded ominous, and Obi-Wan felt a twinge of uneasy.
“What exactly is this plan?”
