You’re fighting to keep your eyes open when he kneels down in front of you and takes your face into his hands, holding your chin up with one while tucking that stray strand of hair behind your ear. He gives a soft hum and smiles before he leans in to whisper, “You should be thanking me. You expected those mutts to be able to unlock your full potential?” He clicked his tongue and pulled back, holding your chin in both of his hands while he gave you a lazy grin. “You don’t know half of the world you live in, Y/N.”
You did everything in your power to pull away but your entire body felt like lead when Yonji pressed his lips to yours. It was short, and you felt yourself black out when he plunged your head into the soapy basin of water.

You heard the squeal of rubber on asphalt when you rear ended the car in front of you. You weren’t going more than maybe 20 miles per hour, but that didn’t change the fact that you cracked your nose on the steering wheel upon impact.

Death was inevitable. You welcomed it at this point. What was the purpose of trying to survive in a world that couldn't be fixed? The rain is heavy and feels like sharp needles against your exposed skin. Your hair sticks to the nape of your neck. A clap of Thunder does nothing to quiet the sound of what will be your undoing.
It won't be long before the walls break down. The sky is only getting darker as the sun disappears over the horizon. You can't see it behind the burgeoning dark clouds. The weather washes the smell of their filth from your nose, a small grace for your final moments. You hoped it wouldn't be painful, and you'd be quick. You prayed that there wasn't enough left of you to wake up as one of those...things.
A roof tile falls, the corner of it catching your head. The rain has stopped falling on you, too. It makes you flinch, but you look up anyway. Your bloody hand rubs at the impending mark. It's too dark to distinguish their features, but there's someone up above you.
"Need a hand?"

The silence in the air is deafening. You can feel the weight of the room shifting, like gravity is trying to push you through the floorboards. His ruby irises haven't looked away from you since he stepped into your room. His face hasn't changed, either. He looks pissed, but you think his features might be stuck that way.
It throws you off when his eyebrows soften, and the scowl on his lips mold into a soft frown. His voice is lowered, as well; finally, he looks away from you. A faint smatter of pink crosses his cheeks.
"It's not fucking easy but if you think I'm gonna leave you're fucking stupid."

Your hand hesitated just above the switch when you located the source of action from a silhouette across the street. You couldn’t pick up any identifying characteristics of who it was, but there was a hitch in their step as if one of their legs had been injured. You furrowed your brow slightly as the figure stopped and swayed back and forth on their feet for a second before they fell face first into the ground.
Before you could think you were already out the door and racing across the street. You didn’t check to see if there were any cars coming, but you lucked out when the street was empty. It wasn’t until you reached the unconscious person when you recognized him.
