Summary
Max has always been aware of the fact that Charles Leclerc lives in his apartment building; however, that has never been a problem until, one day, there’s a knock on his door and when he opens it, Charles is standing there with a sheepish look on his face and a towel tucked under his arm.
“Issue. With the pipes,” Charles starts, looking as awkward about this as Max himself feels. “Can I borrow your shower, maybe? You’re the only person I know who lives close by, and I don’t want to go to the other side of the city to my brother’s.”
There’s a hopeful look on his face. The words finally seem to register with Max. “Um, yeah. Sure.”
Charles grins as he walks past to enter Max’s apartment. “Thanks mate, you’re a lifesaver.”

Summary
On the drive back to the hotel Max had turned to him, blue eyes fierce and piercing.
“Promise me you won’t stop being angry. You’re angry because you know what you can do. Use it, control it, let it fuel you. Other people won’t understand but that doesn’t matter, you know what you’re capable of.”
You and me, he’d seemed to say, we’re the same.
Charles wonders now how he ever thought Max wouldn’t understand.

He glances back at the picture of Charles on his phone — his features softening briefly because it’s Charles — before tucking it back in his pocket to glare at his so-called friends.
“Well, you’re a little bit of an asshole, mate,” Lando says, ever so blunt. He gives Max a brief once over, his brows knitting in what looked to be extreme confusion and even a little judgement before he continues, “And, no offence, but he looks a little too out of your league.”

Summary
“Baby, are you okay--” the blonde asks concerned, trying to reach out.
“What the fuck?” cuts Charles, breathless. He focuses his furious eyes on the blonde sitting on the bed.
Max frowns, frozen mid-way, confused by his reaction. “What?”
The Monegasque wipes his mouth with the back of his hands before asking, almost incredulously, "What do you mean what!" Charles shrieks, standing up on arguably shaking legs. When he speaks, he does it carefully, pronouncing each word clearly, "Do you have any idea what you just said to me, Max?"
Max would find the situation rather funny, but he is a bit mortified, and they are both overly undressed.

“All the evidence points to that,” replied Alex, sighing, all analytical and a tad regretful, as if it was a shameful fact, unavoidable.

“No, not yet,” Daniel admitted, “they are just friends for now, and Charles is simply clingy with Max, who is a big softie with Charlie, God knows why… But… I think they want to.”
