As the figure turned to face her, the words died in her throat, eyes widening as a pair of familiar golden eyes stared back at her.
A man sat at the window seat, pale skin glowing beneath the cabin lights as his tousled blond hair curled gently at the nape of his neck. The top buttons of his white collared shirt were undone—and when he looked up, there was a flicker of shock in his eyes, as if he too wasn't expecting to see her.
Ah, the asshole she had added to her personal blacklist.
Or,
Hyuna is just trying to have a peaceful flight—but that's not possible when some bastard spills coffee all over her 15 minutes before boarding. Oh—and did I mention she's stuck sitting with him for 14 hours?

Summary
They are so small, weaker and even more fragile than he is, like the light of tiny flickering candles waiting to be snuffed out by the faintest breeze. They don't do much besides eat and cry, demanding her undivided attention at all times of the day, and yet Hyuna loves them more than anything.
More than herself, more than her freedom, and certainly more than him.
Luka cannot understand why.
He glares, but the baby doesn't seem to understand his ire, simply staring up at him with eyes like his, wide and curious. The baby giggles, much to his confusion, smiling up at him despite the obvious dislike he is trying to convey to the little thing, and something odd stirs in his chest, warm like he'd swallowed a miniature sun.
His expression softens a little.
Perhaps he can understand, if only a little, why Hyuna seems to like them so much.
After escaping with Hyuna and unwillingly joining the rebellion, Luka learns to be human.

Glancing at the decrepit apartment door, he knocked twice to no avail. "Um...Miss Kinoshita, I'm the temp housekeeper they've assigned." Still no answer.
"W-What am I supposed to do?! Is she not home? But I can't leave now, can I? They're gonna grill me for flaking out on the job!" Tamon panicked before reluctantly twisting the doorknob. "P-Pardon the intrusion..."
"Tch, take this, you piece of trash! All this drooling and for what?! How about you save all that for when you're watching ecchi anime in private, you sicko!" a girl shouted as she hammered her fists into a punching bag, where broken pieces of wood were strewn around her. "When I see you, I'm gonna rip your damn testicles out, ya hear me?!"
"Wait, it can't be...!" The disgruntled boy looked her up and down, too stunned to utter a word. "...The kindhearted angel of the heavens themselves, whose precious smile can disperse the darkest of hearts and purify any wretched soul...the Kinoshita Utage?!"
