Summary
The pain and passions of Sirius O. Black, or the story of two warring ships poised at each other in a rabid storm. Sirius's trials and tribulations of trying to please her mother while not sacrificing her own sanity. A tale of love and heartbreak over and over again, and forcing feelings until they stick. This fic will explore complex mother-daughter dynamics, mental health, medical trauma, and very unhealthy coping mechanisms. I am taking the liberty to change and appropriate details as necessary from the unfortunate source material and the general history. This fic will be a bit of a love letter to Chicago. It's set somewhere in the early 2000s, but dates are hard, so idk if I'll be sticking to anything.

In 1965, Voldemort became Minister for Magic. In 1968, the leadership of the Order of the Phoenix was destroyed, the remnants of the terrorist organisation driven underground. By 1970, all was well in Great Britain.
The year is 1984. Sirius Black has just turned 25. He's rich, he's powerful, and most importantly--he's bored.
