Summary
It’s been seven years since they all parted ways. It's also been seven years since their last dance for two on that quiet rooftop under the night sky of a bustling Seoul. A see you later was what they called it rather than a goodbye—but the latter was exactly what it felt like. Neither wanted to admit it; perhaps they were too afraid of things changing after their borrowed time.
The next time they meet is also on a rooftop. It wasn't the exact rooftop they ceremoniously danced around the word ‘goodbye’ on, but Seoul bustles lively all the same, and the skyline extends to different points with no end. Seoul has barely changed, but Jinyoung and Daehwi clearly have.
What remains unchanged are the things that settled deep into their hearts in the dusty corners when they were apart, spilled raw and ugly now that they're in front of each other again. They count reasons to stay like they do stars in the night sky, and Daehwi can only hope they're enough to make Jinyoung stay—if not forever, then at least a little longer than he did seven years ago.

Summary
He believes that this distance between them will help him lose his feelings for his best friend of ten years. Once Xingqiu leaves on a business trip for the guild, he'll stop thinking about him and go on with his weeks alone until he comes back. By then, he would have lost his feelings already. He should be able to do this, right?
Those were his thoughts a week ago when he bid Xingqiu goodbye at the docks of Liyue Harbor. Chongyun opens his notebook and clicks his pen; Day 8 : Distance makes the heart grow fonder.

Summary
Xingqiu had told Chongyun, all those years ago, most of the truth - that he’d gotten his Vision in the rainstorm that had pummelled Liyue Harbor while Chongyun had been recuperating from his disastrous Dragonspine expedition, that perhaps even the Archons had known not to separate Xingqiu and Chongyun in any way. It had been half a joke, but Chongyun had accepted it with a pleased smile.
He doesn’t know what it says about him that he remembers, with aching clarity, that moment where he’d been so coldly angry about not being able to protect Chongyun that he’d attracted the attention of the Archons themselves. Every time he touches his Vision, he gets a flash of that frigid, relentless part of himself.
And it feels ugly.
