The team may care about each other, but that doesn't mean they always get along. These last few months have been really rough, filled with arguments and complaints and yelling. It's especially hard for one Peter Parker to listen to--which is why when an explosion on a mission leaves him temporarily deaf, he's not as upset as the team had expected. Rather, he finds it a nice break, when he can just peacefully be with his team without having to listen to them fight all the time.
How long will it take the Avengers to realize it's their fault he's so reluctant to start hearing again?

The Avengers glanced at each other to show their suspicion, but none could think of any other reason Tony would force them all to wait in a limo outside some school, but little did they know how big this was. It took a lot of careful consideration and analysis for Tony to finally, finally, decide he trusted them enough after everything to meet Peter.

Now Peter had been expecting to see and experience a lot of weird shit while undercover, especially now that he was kind of like a manager in his current base, but what he wasn't expecting was the Avengers to raid his base looking for Spiderman of all people.
He knew he should've left a note or something.
OR: Peter Parker goes undercover in HYDRA, but the Avengers are unaware and are looking for their friend Spiderman when they stumble upon Peter, completely unaware that Peter is Spiderman himself.
