Summary

Even after months apart, Carol still wants to save her girl—but she also wants to save the world. She's not sure if there's really much difference between the two...

Carol Sturka, novelist and bookstore owner, is not interested in change. She likes her routine and her solitude, and her coffee better be exactly the same every time. For more than a year she has been grieving the loss of her wife and also struggling to make progress on her next Wycaro novel.
Zosia Nowak, the relentlessly cheerful barista at the coffee shop down the block from Carol's store, begins to quietly chip away at her routine and her solitude while also making the best dirty chai Carol has ever tasted.
As the two get to know each other, sparks start to fly (quite literally—this is a secretly a body swap AU, so we need some kind of electricity to make that happen, lol), and Carol has to decide if keeping her true self hidden is worth the cost of never finding love again.
