Summary
Remus had never wanted to be a father, and when Tonks told him she was pregnant he walked away. Sirius didn't have a child of his own, but he considered Teddy to be his son in all but blood and when Tonks fell ill, he never hesitated to open his home to them to help her with the boy. When Tonks passes away, Remus is faced with a choice: step up and be a father or stay out of Teddy’s life.
However, reappearing in Teddy's life is not easy. Sirius has trouble forgiving Remus for walking out on Teddy, and Remus thinks Sirius is a stuck-up, posh, know-it-all who believes he is better than everyone else. Now they’re supposed to co-parent a child while also navigating their own complicated feelings about the situation, and each other.

Summary
Sirius plays the game. Even though he makes it all the way to New York City, still he works for his father's company, still he capitulates to his parents' every stupid demand, he thinks: when Regulus, his brother ten years his junior, is old enough and can make his own choices, Sirius can leave all this shit behind. Every day feels like a waiting game, life on pause until the perfect conditions are met and finally he can live the life he wants to live it.
But now Regulus is old enough, and it's still the same old bullshit with no end in sight, and Sirius is drowning. Until one day, a Teaching Assistant crashes his motorcycle at his feet.

Sirius travels outside of the city with his bratty godson to gain some perspective, explore nature, and breathe some fresh air.
But they do a lot more than just breathe when a storm is brewing, Teddy has an agenda, and Remus is just holding on for dear life since there’s no way he could prepare himself for the force of nature that is Sirius Black.
Stick around if you like a fumbling but straightforward Sirius, a flirty but self-conscious Remus, a master manipulator Teddy, and a Harry who’s way more in tune with his emotions than anyone gives him credit for.

Instead, he finds Remus, a tall, tanned and grumpy ranger who's crispy exterior hides a heart of shy, mushy gold who might make him question where his home really is.

The two idiots cooing at one another across the way have that covered—great.
He’s pretty sure he heard Sirius comparing James to the sun the other weekend, pissed off vodka cranberries, and crying. So that’s taken as well. Barty is running out of metaphors as Evan sits and bumps his hip with his own, getting him to scoot further over in his chair.
Both of them are sitting on one side of the table now. Evan takes a cherry between his teeth, bites it from the stem, and flicks the stem onto the table. It lands right next to Barty’s keys and wallet, just touching.
He looks over and meets Barty’s eye.
They're not the sun and moon or stars in the night sky; Barty and Evan are both black holes.
