BoyNextDoor Mulan AU, but Sungho avoids enlistment by joining Emperor Jaehyun’s Harem.
In the Country of Yang, Emperor Myung Jaehyun reigned supreme. He ascended the throne nine years ago with his Consort Myung Ru Ji. Emperor Jaehyun's harem is said to be the most illustrious in all of Yang.
Every three years, Emperor Jaehyun holds a contest to select his harem members. In each contest, he has to choose at least seven new members. There is no limit to who can apply for the harem. Men and Women fight tooth and Nail for this opportunity.
Park Sungho, the second son of the Park family, is naive and often blunt. He is used by his family for petty matters, and the last straw breaks when they give his name for enlistment in the army in place of his older brother. Naturally, he gets back at them by joining the Imperial Harem. Thank god, he wouldn’t have to die on the battlefield.
Or, Sungho thinks he is the shit for thinking about joining the imperial harem to thwart his family's shitty plan of sending him to the military, but his 'fuck you' to his family backfires in the form of Emperor Myung Jaehyun and his deadly Harem. Send prayers.

Summary
Not that he would ever admit it, but just because he had a sense of public decency doesn’t mean that Sungho completely hated the attention. It wouldn’t be the grand, extravagant moments he remembered, but rather the way he would sometimes fix Sungho’s collar or sleeve, dusting imaginary lint caringly over his hyung’s shirt without wanting to pull back. Those moments have always felt more intimate than they should have, and it was in those moments where Sungho would catch himself wondering if this was just how Jaehyun was, or if it was different with him.
OR: Sungho decides that this year, he’s going to surprise Jaehyun for Valentine’s Day instead of the other way around.

Summary

Jaehyun thoughts begin to take shape more clearly, almost like sentences he can write later, if he wants to remember. Jaehyun missed Sungho in all the spaces where he didn’t fit. In the silences that didn’t know how to fill themselves. In everything he tried to explain without being able to touch him. And Sungho understands all that, without Jaehyun even having to say a word.
