Your hand hovers over the door.
This is stupid. You're being stupid. It's just a music video. It's a professional opportunity. This is the kind of thing you're supposed to say yes to when you're trying to make it as a musician. You're supposed to network, collaborate, put yourself out there. This is normal.
Don’t be such a little bitch. Just do it.

Summary
The first time that Michael Robinavitch (or Robby, to most) witnessed the way that Dennis Whitaker seemed to glide across The Pitt during mass casualty events, he didn't think much of it. The kid got an adrenaline rush that caused him to work more efficiently, that's all. He noticed how Dennis could somehow be everywhere at once whenever disaster hit. He was calm, collected, and strangely more accurate in his diagnoses any time the emergency department was hit with some strange event that caused an influx of patients. Robby even mentioned it to Jack Abbot, his best friend and confidante, a few times during handover. Both the attendings kept eyes on Dennis (and all their other residents! No favoritism here!) during disasters, trying to figure out how exactly he was capable of this sort of "second wind." However, through this close interest in Dennis, Robby noticed some other things about him that made him realize that Dennis was likely stranger than he let on.
Or... Robby thinks Dennis is a little weird and quickly finds out just how weird he really is.

Summary
What is Robby if not your father figure, and penitent God all in one? Denying you the luxury of knowing him, of seeing what he bides — Or Robby leaves for his sabbotical, leaving you something hollowed from what you once were — cut from him like a rotting root.
Jack picks up the pieces as you drift through the sterile cold of the ED like a ghost, and somewhere deep in the amber warmth of Jack’s living room, he finally sees you.
