Summary
Spock is injured on an away mission, bleeding out in Jim’s arms with a crystalline shard buried in his side. Drifting in and out of consciousness, he whispers a truth he never meant for Jim to hear — a truth he’s carried for years.
“Tell Jim… tell him I regret never speaking the truth.”
Jim hears every word.
While Spock fights his way back to consciousness, Jim sits vigil at his bedside, replaying the confession he was never supposed to know. When Spock wakes, the truth comes out — all of it — and Jim finally says the words he’s been swallowing for far too long.

Summary
The air is heavy, warm summer evening made even warmer inside the claustrophobic front room of the dingy two-story conversion. Dim light glints golden through the smoky haze of the bar. The band is good, heavy bass thumping inside her chest, cracked plaster ceiling above the stage raining dust over the performers whenever the music swells too loud. It’s sweaty, lively. Just the way she likes it. There are people dancing, making out in corners, loudly over-exaggerating tales of far off galaxies, thoroughly enjoying their night off.
And there is a girl staring at Jim.

A whole 31 day's worth of spirk! You are now looking at the collection of my ficlets written for Spirktober 2022. They existed on twitter first and now they're here! Every fic is a standalone snapshot of the romance that conquered the stars themselves. Some are set in the universe of The Original Series, and some are set in the Alternate Original Series. Some are humorous, some are angsty, all of them are full of Spock and Kirk. Much like Star Trek itself, I hope the hopeful, kitschy optimism shines through even in the darker explorations.
