Summary
After dropping Percy off at his first boarding school, Sally Jackson pulled off the Garden State Parkway and let herself cry in the parking lot of a random curio shop.
Only when she finally lifted her head did she realize that something was wrong.
It was hard to put her finger on it, at first. She was parked in front of a store that sold lawn statuary, if the crowd of marble figures clustered around the building’s main entrance was anything to go by. The hanging sign on the door was flipped to OPEN, and above that another sign advertised the joint, in ugly neon script, as “Auntie Em’s Garden Gnome Emporium.”
Those didn’t look like garden gnomes.

Summary
Percy is stuck in Gotham for a few weeks with nothing to do.
On the bright side, his new friends are at least as weird as Percy, so he doesn't need to pretend to be a boring, untraumatized mortal. Maybe Alvin from the skatepark (who is definitely a vigilante, not that Percy cares) wants to hang out? Also, that kid Damian might want to spar some time. It's nice to know people who appreciate the awesomeness of swords.
Meanwhile, the Bats have many, many questions.
Percy constantly says the most out of pocket things. He's a trained fighter. He has no criminal ties, unless you count an accusation of terrorism at age twelve (?!?). He is lowkey terrifying but also has the mellow vibes of a surfer dude. Is he a threat? Oh, for sure. Is he a friend? Somehow, also yes. Is he going to get adopted by Bruce when he discovers this dark-haried light-eyed former child soldier? Not if Percy can help it.

Summary
On July 1, Annabeth completes her quest for the Athena Parthenos and falls with Percy into Tartarus, to what was supposed to be her death. On August 1, Annabeth fights on a bloody battlefield, and sees Gaea rise and fall on what might have been the day of the apocalypse.
On September 1, Annabeth moves into her 11th grade dorm room at the New York City School of Design. Time to be normal!
