Summary
Jason is well aware that no one really thinks he’s smart these days. They say he lacks empathy, struggles with decisions, never actually fucking matured past his teenage angst.
He’s willing to cop to the last one, to an extent. Not that he hasn’t grown, of course he has, but if you subtract eight months for ground-rotting and fourteen for vegetablism, he rocked back up Gotham at the ripe old age of seventeen. Prime emo years.

Summary
Percy had, briefly, entertained a fantasy of a triumphant return to Gotham. He’d get a blessing for the Waynes and finally prove he wasn’t fucking crazy, and come home to Jason and get to know Dick and get a chance to try again and, and, and—
And Jason Todd is dead.
Years later, adrift after Tartarus, Percy finds himself pushed back to the city he once called home. All he has to do is keep his head down. This is obviously a flawless plan.
[Tim Drake is running on three cups of coffee, two hours of sleep, and a rapidly-waning belief in the value of a diploma when the most suspicious transfer student in the world walks in. Tim nearly chokes on his own tongue when he notices the white streak in his hair.]

Summary
Percy sighs. “You think some fucked up crime city in New Jersey is the perfect place for me to lay low and stay out of trouble?”
“Divine trouble? Greek trouble?” Chiron nods, stroking his chin gravely. Percy’s pretty sure he’s only doing it for dramatic affect. “Oh yes, Percy. Mortal trouble? You are unfortunately on your own for that, I’m afraid. As long as you avoid the Batman, you should be fine.”
Percy stares at him.
“The Batman is real?” He asks finally, afraid of the answer. Chiron just turns back to the fire again, though Percy definitely saw a twinkle in his eye. Stupid old horse.
(Or, Percy Jackson needs to get away from it all. Unfortunately, it doesn't want to get away from him. Was anyone going to tell him the Batman is real?)

Summary
"It's kind of funny, Jason thinks, except it's not really funny at all. Ironic- that's the word he’s looking for. Because Jason lived in what is basically a giant gothic castle when he was younger and yet the only haunted house in this story is his body."
Jason Todd is used to being confronted by a dead Robin in his dreams. But things get more complicated when the mangled form of his child self starts to haunt his waking hours as well.

Summary
“Hey,” says the kid. He’s painted in green, yellow, red, and he’s wiggling back and forth in his seat.
“Hey,” Jason says without turning around. “I made french toast. You like french toast?”
The half-smile turns into a wide grin. “Fuckin’ duh.”
Because of course he does. Because Jason has always liked french toast.
