Summary
It’s over. They defeated Chuck and saved the world. They’re free. There’s nobody left to control the narrative other than themselves. Everyone else is moving on with their lives.
Dean can’t.
Haunted by Castiel’s final confession and crushed beneath the weight of his own guilt, Dean throws himself into alcohol and research. He refuses to rest until things are right again. Until Castiel is back with them.
Along the way, he is forced to confront feelings that he’s spent a lifetime trying to bury, and he copes in the only way he knows how. Anger.It’s not a pretty journey, and things get way worse before they get better.

After the final battle, Dean tries to find a way to bring Cas back, works through his issues™ in a not so healthy way and eventually gets his happy ending.

Summary
