It hits Will one day. It wasn’t a gradual creeping idea; he just woke up one morning, turned to Mack’s face creased in sleep and drooling into a spot on the pillow, and knew. That was it then, he loved him. And he wasn’t stupid, something gnawed at his soul, and wondered what it meant when a straight guy - okay, well not a *straight* straight guy - loves another guy. What do you do after you realise what you are to one another? (and how do you get that stain out of the living room carpet?)

Summary
It's Will Smith's fault.
At least, that's what Mack likes to tell himself — about, well, almost everything.
Over the last two years, he has fallen in love, figured himself out, learned how to imagine a future without immediately fearing it would fall apart, and somehow started planning the rest of his life, pretty crazy stuff going on.
He can connect the blame for each of these points all to one man, Will Smith (hockey).
(He's also an NHL player, but out of everything, hockey might be the easiest of it all.)
They had a plan. A very detailed one, with dates and bullet points and multiple arrows pointing the direction they would follow. And they are usually good at following plans — directions, not so much, which might explain how they got here, actually.
Neither of them should be surprised at the baby in the middle of their home.
Spoiler: They still are.
Or: the WishBabyAu where Mack and Will accidentally wish for the same baby a couple of years early (and all the roads that lead to it).
