context: techno and wilbur were found and adopted by phil as very young children, got separated from him somehow and then wilbur died and left techno on his own. ghostbur found phil eventually, doesn't know he's dead and has no memory of phil or techno. techno's been on his own in the tundra for all of his adult life and is completely mute. tommy gets adopted by phil at some point but due to broken portal fuckery ends up in the tundra and is found by techno. other shit happens i guess
