    Lan Zhan vowed, the moment the time travel array reunited him with Wei Ying, that no harm will come to his zhiji. That his zhiji will be afforded every opportunity to succeed, will be given safety and security, will always live within Lan Zhan’s line of sight. He was prepared to kill and manipulate the people around him. He was prepared to go against propriety to tie Wei Ying to himself.     Jiang Cheng glanced at the scene in front of him — Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian, practically lost in each other’s gazes, still hugging each other, Wen Chao’s slaughtered body lying on the floor only a short distance away, the whole place reeking of resentful energy, and the pristine Hanguang-Jun looking like he wasn't bothered by any of it — and quickly walked away. 

    (Wherein there are many moments that a time travelling Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji could have been thrown back to. Regardless of what they are, they sure as hell aren’t letting that get in the way of confessing their love).
