Summary
“King Baelor now,” Lyonel interrupted his thoughts, and now raised his glass in a toast and urged Dunk to do the same, wine sloshing from glass to glass, red droplets falling upon the table. “Long may he reign and whatnot. Was almost taken by the plague himself, last I heard. Baelor twice-dead they should call him– that blow to the head should’ve been the end of him! He never fully recovered, did you hear? That’s what the dissenters say. A cripple as a king.”
“He’s not crippled,” Dunk said, fiercely, putting his cup down hard on the table. The relief was heady enough to set his fingers trembling. “And he’ll be a great king. He’s a good man.”

Summary
Somehow, he knew that no-one would rise to his call. His feet were treading steadily now upon the path, bending and weaving inexorably in front of him. He tried desperately to move in a different direction, any direction; he knew where the path would lead him; sloping down and down past death and suffering; grief and anger and helplessness caught deep in his chest, deeper than any wound; the time for any deviation had passed, he could feel it, he knew, knew it like he knew his bones within his flesh.

Summary
He wanted to close his teeth around them, wanted to lick his way down his damp skin and bring him to the edge of breaking, such that he might shatter if dropped too quickly on the stone floor.
Not too rushed, Baelor thought to himself. He didn’t want to frighten him off.

Summary
“Your grace.” Ser Duncan seemed lost for words as he looked up at him; his doleful eyes so wide and earnest, his large frame bucked down underneath the weight of his apology, his grief, his wholehearted loyalty. It was a heady feeling, the sheer magnitude of Ser Duncan’s admiration of him.

Summary
“Dear Maia,” said Csethiro, amused. “Lack of presumption, thy name is Edrehasivar. Well, we are sorry for the faux pas. Have no fear, we are used to keeping quiet on the matter.” She frowned. “Gosh. For a woman who was so worried you disliked us, we are certainly giving you plenty of reasons, in our attempts to diffuse the situation. Damnation.” She sat back, then said, “Ooh, Goëlar,” and sat forwards again. “You have the set! And well-read, we dare say, how impressive…”
The woman's mind was like a scanning bird of prey, Csevet thought exhaustedly as she tottered out of the chair to look at his bookshelf. Pinned one topic and only let it go when it was in its death throes, then leapt instantly off to murder another.(csevet and csethiro have three main things in common: pakh'palar, popular literature, and purpose. not necessarily in that order.)

Summary
"The king sent me to get you," Merlin said, with a tone that implied strongly that he wasn't rolling his eyes where Arthur could see, but just wait until his back was turned. "He said you're to get changed into formal clothes and meet him in the Great Hall, there's a delegation coming from the Summer Court."

Summary
When it’s time to feed Lenora, Shiv takes her into the bedroom, lays the baby down right in the middle of the California king. She looks very small, but significant, like the dot of a capital in the midst of an expansive nation on a map.

Summary
Caranthir sighs, disgusted, and sits on the bed, as far as he can get from Celegorm without appearing like he’s halfway to crawling out of his skin. “I didn’t come back to life so I could hear how much my dying traumatized you.”
“You fucking bastard,” says Celegorm, and lunges.
[When Caranthir is reborn into Valinor, he must deal with everything he left behind in Beleriand- the annoying brothers, the overbearing parents, the family he lost and will never regain.
But there are things that Caranthir does not know. There are lies that have not yet been unwound. There are mercies he has never expected. It takes orange trees, infuriating brothers, silver ribbons and unseasonal thunderstorms, but slowly Caranthir learns precisely how wrong he is.]
