Summary
This is the part he wouldn't have told anyone, because he didn't have the words for it and wouldn't have wanted them anyway: that he was happy. Right then, leaning against the counter in a kitchen that smelled like burnt coffee and the cut hay coming in through the screen door, getting needled by a girl who'd moved into his house two years ago like a hurricane and never fully moved out of his orbit since — he was happy, and — something else that he didn't fully know. It didn't have a name. It was just the temperature he ran at when she was in the room. He thought everyone felt this way about the people they argued with. He thought it was friction. He thought it was free.
He thought it was theirs.
By that afternoon she had a new word, and the word was Oliver.

“Clark,” Bruce starts, and then pauses for twenty—slightly faster than usual, Clark notes—heartbeats. Clark wets his lips, anticipation hot and fluttery in his gut as he waits for Bruce to continue. “Would you like to be a good boy? For me?”
His answer is yes; he feels it immediately like a rush going through his body, from the rapidly-heating tips of his ears to where he rocks back on his heels, stunned backwards by the question. He needs to ask, though, even as embarrassment tinges his words. “As… ah, as your dog?”
(Clark got transformed into a dog. After he gets turned back to normal, he and Bruce have some Normal Feelings about it.)

Summary
Dylan holds the radio out to him and instead of letting Dylan drop it into his hand, Ryan grabs for the thing and finds his fingers closing over top of Dylan’s. For a fraction of a second they freeze like that, Ryan holding onto Dylan’s hand which is holding onto the radio, their eyes meeting as accidentally as their hands, and Ryan feels something move through him like electricity. Dylan must feel it too, because he pulls his hand back like he’s been shocked and Ryan scrambles to catch the radio before it can tumble to the floor.

Dylan and Ryan are crushing hard on each other, but they both have trouble communicating that fact. They only seem to be able to talk without awkwardness when they're discussing their shared love of music. When Ryan loses access to his contraband cell phone and his beloved podcasts, Dylan unwittingly gives him something far more interesting to listen to.
