“Did you say something, Arty?” Sophia, his girlfriend for fuck’s sake, asked him.
“Oh no, not at all, do continue,” he said, giving Merlin a sharp look and a shake of the head to explicitly tell him that he was not telling Merlin to continue.

Arthur is not happy in his relationship with Sophia. Why? Because he's into men. Thankfully Merlin is there to help him out. Not-so-thankfully, that happens while Arthur is on a phone call with his girlfriend.

“You’ve got magic and its beautiful,” Arthur said starting to slur in earnest from both exhaustion and the alcohol.
“Magic is illegal Arthur, and you are drunk,”
