He doesn’t care for Till while he’s high, but does see it as a perfect time to mess with him, hoping to see his emotion-filled outburst after. What Ivan did not expect was to hear Till moan in the native language of his (supposedly despised) Segyein owner.

wow, i got full body chills when i finished this. it was so beautifully written that i procrastinated reading the last few chapters just to keep myself on edge and to be able to indukge in the story for just a little longer. although im not familiar with traume etc., this story really shows how it is from the start to end. how a person falls, and continues falling until they pull themselves out where their strongest pullar of support is themselves. i wish i could print out this and analyse it just like in my little classes (but its 400+ pages long) because this story has so much beautiful imagery, symbolism, stories/thoughts that circle back to an experience at the start and hiw every action has a consequence, haunting the character throughout the story. 10/10 would not recommend. the story behind the name nightwing was amazing. its also amazing following the concept of ‘unreliable narrator’ -

Summary
A majority of the time, Dick is perfectly fine with having his identity secret from Slade, and the other man doesn't seem too bothered by it, either. Fucking doesn't require the removal of masks, after all.
But right now, currently kidnapped and imprisoned as Dick Grayson, he's really wishing the mercenary knew who he'd just taken captive for a job.
