Summary
I've been on my third re-watch of Hilda Furacão and am navigating the complexities or vicissitudes of my own romantic life at the moment, and felt inspired to write something... cathartic?
Hilda and Malthus have been taking an incredibly slow dance over the years; where will they find themselves eventually? This is a bittersweet tale of two people growing, together and apart, destroying themselves to rebuild anew.
I have lifted some lines from Jabu Translations' excellent English subtitled uploads (available here: https://jabutranslations.blogspot.com/) to support some of the dialogue in some scenes.
Next on my list is a read through of the novel I suppose!

Summary
In every universe, he’s married to God.
And in every universe, she’ll find a way to make her destiny happen.
Somewhat a romantic comedy/drama sprinkled with fantasy, Hilda and Malthus find each other in unlikely situations, from a royal fairytale to the early days of Christianity. Communicating through fragmented visions, dreams, and tales, they become soulmates in the sense that they keep getting separated in every version of the fabric of reality.

Summary
“I’ve met someone.”
“You have? Oh, that’s wonderful!” Bea smiles, and her happiness is so apparent, Hilda almost feels bad. The golden ring on her finger glitters, reminding Hilda that her friend is about to get married by the very man in question. “What does he do?”
Despite herself, she smirks at the irony.
“He’s a priest.”
Or, because of all the comparisons: the Hilda Furacão Fleabag AU.
