Summary
In 1747, a sixteen-year-old colony travels to Saint Petersburg expecting to witness a treaty. Instead, he meets Russia. Across nearly three centuries of revolutions, wars, alliances, ideological divides, and changing flags, Alfred and Ivan find themselves returning to one another again and again.
