Based on this incorrect quote I made a while ago...
Kinger: I love my four daughters.
Zooble: ...Kinger, I'm not a girl.
Kinger: Oh, I know!
Jax/Daisy: *sweats anxiously in the background*OR: Kinger confesses his love for his adopted daughters (and Zoobles), Jax overhears and tries very hard not to think about what that may mean, only to realize that hey, maybe that fourth daughter is JAX.
...But that wouldn't work, because Jax is a guy, right?

At this point he shouldn’t be expecting a response, but it still hurt when his words fell flat. That was alright, it was fine, it would be better when they got to the cabin. Jon let his mind drift off to wonder about what life in the cabin might be like, how it could be mundane and… normal, normal, for once, after all that has happened.
Grocery shopping, cooking, sitting on the couch with a warm blanket. Jon never considered himself the type of guy to enjoy domestic life before this, but imagining it now with Martin felt… good. Relaxing, a breath of nice fresh air.

Summary
Homecoming AU.
Ben and May divorced before Peter’s parents died, so when Ben is murdered Peter goes into foster care. It takes just a tiny taste of superpowers for Peter to decide he doesn’t want to put up with his horrible foster father anymore—the streets are infinitely more appealing. All he wants is to be Spider-Man anyway.
So he leaves.
Simple.
Simple, that is, until Iron Man needs Spider-Man’s help. Peter isn’t about to turn down an opportunity to fight alongside Tony Freaking Stark, but he also isn’t going to let his hero know that his recruit is a fifteen-year-old homeless dropout. So they strike a deal. Peter will help Tony. In return, the mask stays on.
And that’s when things get complicated.

Jon's own keys were in the chipped bowl so he was home, and the muffled sound of water meant he was in the shower. It was rare Martin came home later but today he was in the field. That information was horrifying, of course, it always was in small ways, but he tried to swallow the feeling down as he shrugged off his coat and focused on the sound of singing from further in the flat. It was a nice song, and Martin wondered a moment if Jon brought his phone into the bathroom or something when he realized the song had no actual music. It was just singing any-
He stopped dead in the hallway when it clicked. It was Jon singing.
