    “What are you doing?” He said incredulously,

    Kaito, who is currently hugging a tree, responded “Staying away from the water! DUH!”

    Shinichi paused, his face twisting in confusion. “Why are you staying away from the water?”.
    He paused again. “Are you afraid of the water?”

    Shinichi sees a small nod from the other boy and his face twists more in confusion. “Kaito you can swim though?”

    “It’s not the water Shinichi, it's what’s in it!”

    Shinichi pauses yet again, looking at Kaito then at the lake then back at Kaito.
    “...You’re scared of germs?”

    “NO!” Kaito all but shrieked.
