“You'll be in Paris before you know it.” Mike adds with a small snicker. “He’s crazy!” He bursts out into laughter as he looks up at Steve, who does not look nearly as amused.
“I'm not crazy!” He screams. He has been biting his tongue long enough and this man has done nothing but ridicule him. “Why are you so unkind?”
Steve sighs, talking before Mike can make another rude comment. “We were hoping you'd be someone else.” The boy glances up at him, narrowing his eyes.
“Who?”
“Someone who may not even exist.”
