The phone rings at 7:34am on his first day off in months, the sound sharp and grating as it echoes off the walls of Akutagawa’s apartment.
He drags a hand down his face and answers with a huff, bringing the device to his ear.
“What?”
Chuuya chuckles on the other end. “Good morning to you too, hellhound. Vacation’s over. We’ve got a target that needs our attention.”
Or, Akutagawa becomes trapped in a time loop of a single day, and slowly starts to lose his mind.

“Ah, sorry! I’ll call you back!” I hung up, not even giving him a chance to respond.
I walked over to my left following the crying. It was dark and there was barely anyone outside. Not only that, but it was cold and windy. I walked to a newborn baby in a car seat with a blanket hanging off. The baby had short black hair, pale skin, and just kept crying.
My eyes widened at what I was looking at. I was shocked and confused.
