Summary

And then there's Cinderella - Phainon. He has nothing but debt, an old laptop that roars like an airplane, and a talent seen only by a handful of loyal friends.
Their worlds were never meant to collide. But one random tournament, one temporary nickname, and one brilliant play change everything. The Prince notices someone in the crowd of no-names who makes his heart beat faster. But Cinderella, true to the canon, flees the ball. And this time, he doesn't even leave a glass slipper behind.
Obsessed with the search, Mydei issues a 'royal decree 2.0', turning the entire internet upside down. But finding his Cinderella is only the beginning. It's much harder to convince him that he's not just another trophy. And even harder to protect their fragile fairytale from the dragons of the real world, who wear not scales, but hoodies, and are armed not with fire, but with knives.

Beneath a sky of red and black, jagged peaks thrust upward like blades. There was no solid ground beneath his feet—only endless piles of corpses, not a single face among them at peace.
Mydei's next thought was of Phainon—his dearest friend, his beloved, the sworn enemy who had pierced through his spine.
Had he succeeded?
If the Era Nova had been completed, then where was Phainon? And what was this place?

It's a brainworm that only lasted one version. I gotta quickly finish this before version 3.5. Contains many plot holes and a sea of OOC.3.5Update: Didn't manage to finish this before 3.5, how sad. But since I'm already here, guess I'll just bite the bullet and keep writing.

“What does dying feel like?”
Mydei stills. He could tell him of different sensations of death. He could tell him what it feels like when life ebbs out of your veins, and you can only watch it happen. He could tell him how the swift stab of a blade snuffs life out like a wayward candle. He could tell him that the River of Souls is a cold climb, with sweet voices whispering from beyond the shore, beckoning him to join them, relish in their touches yet again, after all the time that has passed.
Mydei gathers Phainon in his arms, burying his head in the Deliverer’s neck. Phainon is limp enough that it might be concerning, so Mydei just holds him tighter.
“You will find no comfort there.”
“No,” Phainon agrees, “such things are long beyond me.”

The Deliverer: Oops, sorry, wrong chat!
Mydei's right eye twitched.
One small mistake leads to: the merchants of Okhema counting unexpected profits; Phainon's acquaintances becoming wary of buying him a drink; the townsfolk following the Deliverer's every move, hoping to see more people who decide to touch him 'unexpectedly' slip and fall beside him (and the grim Kremnosian prince, of course, has absolutely nothing to do with it). We'll also see a war council disguised as a slumber party. And, of course, someday the Deliverer will learn how to smile seductively instead of looking like he's been constipated for a week... but that's another story entirely.

“Yield,” Phainon hisses in his ear. Warm breath fans over Mydei's cheek. His scent fills Mydei's senses, tinged with sweat and adrenaline. With the sun behind his head, Phainon is awash in near blinding white, a halo that makes the gold flecks in his eyes stand out more.
Mydei grins, baring his teeth. “I can do this all day.” If it's a fight this man wants, then he'll be happy to oblige, as any Kremnoan would.
In which Mydei buys some questionable flowers, stumbles into a territorial dispute, tries to get a boyfriend, learns some frankly confusing anatomy, and fights for his happily ever after the Kremnoan way—not necessarily in that order.

“Uhh… I don’t think there’s any way for me to put this politely,” Caelus said, actually seeming to flush right before Veritas’ eyes.
“Then say it crudely,” Veritas demanded, too irritable to drag it out. The gnawing heat in his abdomen was grating on his last shred of tact.
Caelus set the phone down and rose to his feet, groaning and scrubbing a hand over his face. “To end the heat cycle, uh… you gotta take a lot of loads,” he finally said, pacing before the couch and sounding profoundly embarrassed. “You feel me?”
After a mishap with one of Madam Herta's curios, Dr. Ratio finds himself aboard the Astral Express and horribly afflicted with an incredibly strange, extremely pressing condition. The only cure to this bizarre, curio-induced heat? Tricking his body into thinking he's been impregnated.

Kephale and Nikador have a long, complicated history. A history that, unfortunately, has affected the lives of their chosen demigods for thousands of years. It seems almost inevitable that conflict will erupt between the Strife and Worldbearing demigods of any era. Such conflict would always lead to disaster as the balance of power shifts and innocent lives suffer the consequences.
To ensure no more unnecessary destruction can occur, the other demigods have taken it upon themselves to always keep Phainon and Mydeimos apart. The task seemed easy enough in theory. However, a new threat arises, and tensions run high when one of their own is forced into hiding. Oronyx has once again offered their guidance to the Chrysos Heirs, but it's the last thing they expected to hear.
Whatever the future may hold, Worldbearing and Strife are destined to meet. Time will only tell if it shall bring another calamity.

He actually shot to his feet, intent on carrying out the second part of his plan. But before he could take a single step, a steel grip clamped down on his wrist. Mydei yanked him forward in one powerful, fluid motion. Phainon lost his balance and, with a short, panicked cry, tumbled right onto Mydei's lap, trapped in his strong arms.
Mydeimos leaned close to his ear, his voice a low growl, but it was laced with entirely new, unfamiliar notes - a mixture of disbelief, wild, almost hysterical tenderness, and colossal exasperation.
"Deliverer, I swear by all the titans, you will be the death of me."
Prince Mydeimos is tired. Tired of battles, tired of his curse, but most of all, tired of the Deliverer who runs from his kisses time and time again.
Phainon is panicking. He desperately wants to reciprocate, but there's just one... complication.

Summary
Jiyan spends the first hour going over his tasks for the day. His new position allowed him some liberty to choose his missions and that day, he was slotted for an escort mission, a routine scout near the Dim Forest, an investigation of abnormal frequencies at the Gorges of Spirits and a training drill with the new recruits.
Initially, he thought it to be no big deal; Jiyan had taken upon plenty and far more strenuous tasks before, during the war, while his body remained battered and bleeding from the previous ones.
Getting pounded into a mattress for hours the night before had consequences that were shaping up to be a close second to that.
