“He did, but it was after my mom had a really long night while we were stationed near the eastern border, and her eyes were bloodshot red, so I freaked out and started shrieking. She took my book of fables away for a month because the outpost guards all came running, and I was hiding behind my brother, who couldn’t stop laughing, and well... it was a mess.”

This is a retelling of the Love Hypothesis from Adam Carlsen's point of view. The story is still in its infancy, but eventually it will include missing scenes developing Adam's friendships with both Holden Rodrigues and Tom Benton, as well as all the original scenes between Adam and Olive. For every instance that Olive sees a flash of something...emotion, hidden thought, etc, flit across Adam's face, this story will attempt to fill in the blanks.

Summary
Violet has spent the year after Liam’s death thinking Xaden hates her. Xaden’s spent even longer pretending he’s not completely in love with her.
But when Xaden fakes an engagement to Violet in an attempt to avoid an arranged marriage, the carefully crafted walls between them begin to crumble and they are forced to confront what had been simmering between them all along.
(Takes place in the middle of Iron Flame, but it’s in a canon divergent AU in which Violet never got with Xaden because she was dating Liam until Resson)
