Summary
The afternoon sun catches the golden pins in his elaborate updo, reflecting like starlight in the length of his midnight hair. He is, by all accounts, a picture of elegance--- save for the molten copper of his deep-set eyes, which seem to pierce the skin of Sylvain’s face with their intensity.
“Who the hell are you?” he demands more so than asks, and Sylvain finds his tongue suddenly lodged in the back of his throat.
“Uh--- Stable Boy?” shit, no, that’s not right. The man’s eyes narrow with a striking lack of patience. He tries again. “Sylvain, actually. Welcome to Castle Fhirdiad.”

Summary

Summary
In ship years, the Scylla is a woman well into her 40s. She’s mature, she’s dependable, and she’s seen some shit. Sylvain found her in a used shipyard over five years ago: battered by asteroids, her main engine a constellation of outdated parts, rats and birds nesting in her cargo bay. Maybe it was messed up for Sylvain to look at a spacecraft and see a metaphor, but there you go.

Summary
When Domi drags Noe to a strip club, he hadn't thought he'd be doing anything other than sipping orange juice in silent suffering, yet finds himself enraptured by a dancer there, stage name Andromeda.
Noe knows it's nothing more than a fantasy and pretty lies, yet he'd give anything to hold onto the man who's lit up his world. He knows he's a fool for falling love with someone who'd put a price on a relationship, yet he can't stop himself, Andromeda's charm reeling him in and drowning out everything around him.
Vanitas doesn't believe in love, not anymore. Becoming of age had been a blessing to him, allowing him to work as a stripper instead of scraping by on part time jobs and selling himself when needed. Even if his life was a nightmare, echoes of the past haunting him, he'd do anything to protect his younger brother from the harsh realities of the world. Yet when a charming young man walks into the club, more money than brains, he can't help but wonder if he'd been wrong all along. Maybe love wasn't a cold, impersonal business transaction, but a whirlwind of touches and glances, a dance that doesn't tire him and instead fills him with joy and meaning.

When Vanitas finally died by Noe's hand, he'd never expected to linger as a ghost, reaching out to comfort Noe yet phasing through, watching as the one he used to believe be full of life fade away and spiral upon his death. He wished he'd never kissed him as he died, leaving behind unanswered questions and the wish to finally live.
