It’s so fucking hot, is Quentin’s only thought as the day passes by. The heat of the desert usually didn't get to Quentin. For one reason or another, he usually was a little more tolerant to it then anybody else. Weirdly and stupidly convenient, but Quentin wasn’t one to question when things just worked out for him. Maybe he was just fuckin’ heat resistant at this point, but today the heat on his neck as he shoveled sand aside was. annoying. grating even. Almost nauseating. So maybe he wasn’t.
The lingering thought of maybe he was making the nausea up was not lost on him. Maybe he was just- making that last part up. His mind has been abit. Scrambled, since the server had gone quiet. Dim.

Angel shook their head, forcing themself to take deep breaths. In and out. In and out. Their chest hurt, and clenched, but the fact they breathed was proof they were alive. They were alive, and that was important. Another scar here or there wasn’t much in comparison, even if they added to the many they had. It had been. Harder today than usual. They weren't sure why. Maybe Pixels had spawned more wardens then usual, but the anxiety felt like it was choking them from inside out. It usually was like this, but with the exhaustion weighing them down, it felt like something was pressing down on them with their thumb. Like a little ant.
(Angel didn’t like to think they were an ant. They thought of themselves as more of a stag beetle type.)

This is how they spend the next three days on the glove box addition while Mary reads to them from the unreleased 2021 NEISS report, filtered by incidents requiring extraction of foreign objects from the 'lower trunk' or 'pubic region'.
